"My queen, my queen

they've taken the hill and the city

they've taken the sky and the sun

they've taken the money and time

they've taken the old and the young

"There are none still standing to fight for the earth

none who yet know for what to fight

those who were trained in the way of the sword

of knowing how to wield a sharpened blade so that it wafts upon the wind

so that it pierces and kills

and sometimes shows mercy when mercy is needed

all of the holy warriors are...

dead

"My queen, my queen

what will we do now?

Now that the prophecies of old have all come true?

Now that what we all hoped would never pass

is knocking at our door?"

The queen, sceptre clawed tight,

staring out a window—more a door, of pure white light

She hadn't much to say, that wise old dour queen

"So be it, let them come."

"My queen..."

"All will die. All will start again."
