She is everything

I know, tho I don't know her

Yet

Cuz my heart has never

Danced the way its dancing

Now

I chase her thru the city

Her laughter leads me on

I'll put a collar round her neck

A ring upon her hand

She will be my muse

And I'll become a man

I steal a ring for her

Of deep sea blue

-for what am I to give?

I hold nothing in my hands

& when I give it to her,

She drops it in the sand

----

So I give it once again

As we gaze over the city

This time

With a hammer in my hand

"If it's not my promises you want

Then I will give my time

I will speak to you thru actions

Let this one ease your mind."

I place the ring upon a stone

I raise the hammer high

"Wait!" She says, and takes the ring.

"I will take this, but I will pay for every penny."

I tell her that I stole it.

"Then I will do the same."

And the ring disappears into her pocket.
